QUEENS Park Rangers FC is delighted to announce the formation of our first LGBT supporters group \u2018Rainbow Rangers\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>

Hot on the heels of National Inclusion Week, the group has been created to welcome fellow R\u2019s from the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community and allies, whilst further supporting the club\u2019s continued campaign to help kick homophobia out of football.<\/p>

It follows an advert in QPR\u2019s matchday programme and social media channels which was warmly received by the Rangers faithful.<\/p>

R's fan and group leader Emma Miller-McCaffrey was behind the advert and has been overwhelmed by the response, telling www.qpr.co.uk<\/a>: \u201cWe\u2019re very proud of the support QPR has shown us in getting the group off the ground. In return, we hope to do the club proud by helping to further develop their work in promoting diversity and inclusion in the stands and beyond.<\/p>

\u201cWe have had a great response from other clubs\u2019 supporters too, as well as organisations such as Pride in Football, Football v Homophobia and the Football Supporters' Federation.\u201d<\/p>

Andy Evans, QPR in the Community Trust CEO, added: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to help set up the club\u2019s first LGBT group.<\/p>

\u201cQPR welcomes all supporters, regardless of race, religion, sexuality or gender, and the Rainbow Rangers is further evidence of that.<\/p>

\u201cWe look forward to working with them and are excited about how the group can develop and grow in the future.\u201d<\/p>

Rainbow Rangers will be formally introduced at Loftus Road during QPR\u2019s game with Aston Villa in W12 on Saturday 18th November.<\/p>
